Srimingol weekend - day three

The final day arrived too soon, but the bus wasn't leaving till 3 so there was lots to do. After breakfast some of us set off for a walk around the tea estates and paid a visit to the tea stall which I had sat at in Feburary. We happended upon a farmer as he tended to his lemon trees and he explained the Sylet techniques of farmering to us. We headed back to the tea estate to embark on our trip to Srimingol's best kept secret - the secret of the five layer tea. Only one man knows how to make this special tea and people have come from all over the world to enjoy it and enjoy it we did. They even lock the door when they are making the tea so as to avoid giving away the secret.
Following lunch back at the tea estate and a frenzy of bill paying we were all set to fold up our legs and get back into the bus. The journey back was slightly easier as we had better planning initiatives. The road was crazy as usual but the sceneray was beautiful as we passed miles and miles of rice paddis. Then we hit Dhaka with a bang, or rather it hit us, and we were back amongst the cars, the horns and the rickshaws.
It was a wonderful weekend and thanks to all who came along.
The 1st photo is of the girls Anna, Linda and Sarah as we set off on our walk.
The 2nd photo is of a very friendly lady leaning out of her tea stall window.
The 3rd is tea tea everywhere.
The 4th is the 5 layer tea.
The 5th is of the beautiful roas side scenes on route back to Dhaka.
The 6th is chaos.............
