As all great things should be we were all rushing around frantically at 7pm preparing for the night of the year. Mr. Ali, the busiest tailor in town, arrived at Charlene's at 7.30 with the customes for ABBA's answer to the RAB - RABBA. A couple of glasses of champagne compliments of the Amercian Commissery, and we were on our way to the Shereton.
We entered the Winter Garden room to the sounds of YMCA Dhaka style and were saddened to hear that we had just missed the first act and the wonderful sounds of the Lounge Lizards. Next was a satire of the political situation in Bangladesh and then after that was oh yet another satire of life in Bangladesh. A meal followed this and a few twirls on the dance floor only to return to yes you got it another satire of life and the political situation in Bangladesh. Congrats to Sarah and Scott's group who were brilliant in their customes - I still can't believe it was them. But this must be said to all you out there we - the people of Chris and Luke's great invention would have wiped the floor with the rest of the acts that night and walked away triumphant! There will be other times and other acts, but let us take a moment to reflect on what would have been wonderful.
We danced, we laughed, we danced, we had a wonderful time, I won a prize of a Thai massage at Herbal Solutions (lucky me) and then all too soon the night came to a close and beds beckoned. Here is just a taste of what went on that night. Enjoy.............

Such a funny song! Congratulations to Luke and Chris for making it!
And I'm happy to see that my family is keeping up the dragging tradition!
